A white and pink poster announces "Anubhav," a one-day activity-based sensitizing simulation workshop on visual impairment by Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi, on April 26, 2022, with contact details and a QR code.

Sensitization workshop organized for students of KMC:

Report:

On 26th April 2022, a sensitization workshop was carried out with more than 80  sighted students studying in KMC. The objective of this workshop was to make them aware of the issues and challenges faced by persons with visual impairment and the available solutions and alternatives which can help them in overcoming these problems and in being independent to a large extent. The workshop comprised around 10 hands-on activities (including both indoor and outdoor activities), related to education, daily living, sports, entertainment, etc. Each participant had to complete all the activities after being blindfolded.

The workshop received highly positive feedback from the participants, who felt that doing day-to-day activities like threading a needle, pouring water in a glass, identifying a currency note, reading and writing on a computer, and playing games with the help of suitable assistive solutions after being blindfolded actually proved to be a real eye-opener for them.

12 student volunteers from the college also assisted the team in conducting this workshop.
